Welcome

Thank you for visiting the Nanaimo Unique Kids Survey web site.

We've just completed collecting survey results, have finished an analysis of the results and we are posting the statistical information gathered and our Final Report on this site. Paper copies of the Final Report are available from our office and may be requested by calling 250.390.8143

We would like to thank all stakeholders ie: parents/guardians, child/youth care, educators, aides, support services, specialists, physicians, health care, volunteers, etc. who have participated in the analysis phase of the project! They have assisted our team in better interpreting the statistical information, reflecting upon comments and more importantly they have reviewed participant recommendations to establish trends thereby helping us develop the Final Report.

After you have reviewed the statistics and the Final Report, please respond to any of the email options below to offer your testimonials (positive or negative) about meeting the needs neuro-developmentally disabled infants, children, youth, young adults, as well as comments and criticisms of our Final Report.

We are collecting contact information toward the establishment of support groups within the region. Amid the many comments shared by parent/caregivers, and some professionals, was an awareness that support groups provide pertinent facts, strategies to solving problems, etc. and that great wisdom and experience shared is to everyone's advantage.

We are seeking agencies, groups, organizations willing to host community forum information meetings. At these meetings we present a power point presentation outlining findings, bring resource materials and also invite questions and discussion. If you or your agency, group, organization would like to host a forum meeting, please contact our office.

For any additional information or to book a “forum” meeting that includes a presentation of the survey findings, please contact us: Phone 250.390.8143 or Fax 250.390.8146 or
